Former BBC producer Paul Mayhew-Archer talks about his career in comedy from Mornington Crescent to Dibley. Responsible for much of the most popular British television and radio comedy in the last twenty years, come and hear what it's like to work with Dawn French, Richard Curtis, Stephen Fry and many more. In support are Frimston and Rowett, an up-and-coming comedy duo who, like so many great British double-acts, met whilst studying at Cambridge University. Fresh from great success at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe, this is your chance to see some stars of the future and witness their owl obsession. This evening is a fundraising event for the Gobo Theatre Foundation, a newly formed theatre company set up to give a first professional theatre experience to talented and committed young people.

John Ahern Anniversary Weekend, Pendon Museum, Long Wittenham, Abingdon
Open from 2.00 to 5.30pm to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the pioneering Madder Valley Railway model, which was built entirely by one man, John Ahern during the 1930's.
It’s a unique opportunity to see 1930s scenic craftsmanship at its best - the model is only run four or five times a year due to its fragile state. This is an historic relic of the early days of scenic railway modelling, showing what could be done, and became almost legendary among modellers.
