Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th March

John Ahern Anniversary Weekend, Pendon Museum, Long Wittenham, Abingdon

Open from 2.00 to 5.30pm to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the pioneering Madder Valley Railway model, which was built entirely by one man, John Ahern during the 1930's.

It’s a unique opportunity to see 1930s scenic craftsmanship at its best - the model is only run four or five times a year due to its fragile state. This is an historic relic of the early days of scenic railway modelling, showing what could be done, and became almost legendary among modellers. Adults £7.00, Over 60’s £6.00, Children (7-16) £5.00 http://www.pendonmuseum.com
